Question. 

If 12 shirts of equal size can be prepared from 27m cloth, what is length of cloth required for each shirt?

Solution :

Total size of the Cloth = 27 m

Total number of shirts = 12

∴ Cloth need for 1 Shirt = 27/12

                                       = 9/4

                                       = 2.25

Ans. 2.25 m
