" The Lost Child "
The gist of the story ‘The Lost Child' is that many things may seem to be attractive in our life as it happened with the little boy. He kept on admiring the things being sold on streets and in the fair, but it was only temporary. The real joy is with the people who care for us not in the objects we see around. It has been depicted very well in the story. The story shows the close bond that the children share with their parents. The lost child forgets all about his desires and yearns deeply for his parents when he fails to find them. Everything else loses its significance and the only thing that matters is his wish to be reunited with his parents. The author has described the psychological state of mind of the lost child.
