The raven and the fox poem summary :

Once upon a time in the woods Mr. Raven was sitting on a branch of a tree with a piece of food in his big beak. The food look so delicious, that Reynard the Fox who was sitting under the tree also wanted it for his supper. So he decided to play a trick on Mr. Raven. 

The fox looked up at the raven and said, “Oh, noble raven! how beautiful you have been! Your feather are very shiny and You are the handsomest bird I have ever seen. Surely your voice is as beautiful as your looks. If you sing a song you will become the king of woods.”

The Raven did not understood the intension behind the Reynard admiration. He forgot that his voice is as harsh as a frog or crow. He was so flattered that he decided to sing for the fox. He opened his beak wide, but the moment he began to sing, the piece of food fell straight down into the jaws of the waiting fox.

"Ha-ha!" laughed the Fox. He taught him the lesson for his loss. Reynard said to the raven that "You should ignore the sweet words of praise that makes you delight. Because Pride is usually Unwise.
