● One Night, in a village a tired man came back to his home. He was feeling so sleepy (as it was a hard day for him) so he lied down on his bed. Suddenly his wife heard a noise coming from outside. So she asked her husband to get silent and try to listen the noise which was coming from outside.
● The man thought that someone is trying to break into (get inside) their house. But as the noise suddenly get stopped his wife told him that someone had already entered in their house.
● In no time they understood that a thief has entered in their house. They thought that the thief must have somehow got past Rama. who was the village kotwal (Policeman).
● The man came up with a clever idea to trick the thief. He asked his wife to lie down, keep quite and not to look at the thief.
● To confuse the thief they started talking about their expected child "Rama". Which was also the name of their village kotwal.
● The wife started calling Rama, Rama!.. Louder and louder, so that Rama (The village Kotwal) could listen to them. while on the other hand the thief thought that the husband and wife were playing silly game.
● When the wife's voice become so loud that it reaches the street. Rama the village kotwal heard it and ran toward the house from which he heard his name being called.
● When Rama reached the house , he saw a big hole in the wall of that house. He entered into the house through that hole and saw that thief who was ready for theft. He took no time to capture the thief and put him under arrest.
● The man and his wife were so happy as their plan worked. They saved themselves from being robbed by their cleverness.
